HTML Paragraph Elements

Any text that is normally considered a sentence - should be placed inside of a paragraph tag. Placing your text inside of a paragraph tag makes it easier to style the font-family, font colors, background color, and more. Don't leave text just dangling in your HTML document! All text belongs inside of a container and for text, that container is the p tag.

Speaking of the "p tag", have you ever seen a Popup Privacy Tent? These portable popup places are great for keeping things contained inside without interference from the outside. Some people use the popup tent to pee in private while other people use the popup for privacy during an outside shower and many use the popup for protection from the sun. So when you think of the "p tag" - remember the popup tent. Its purpose is to contain things in a specific place.

HTML Span Elements

When you need to reach a specific piece of text inside of a paragraph, you can wrap that text in a span tag. Span tags are in-line tags and usually include in-line styles because they are one-offs, but you can also use class IDs and class names.
